Benchmark 2® is the second level in our learn-to-swim programme. Now that participants can confidently float and glide on both the front and back, they begin developing alternating leg action for front crawl and backstroke.
Swimmers will work towards achieving a 5-metre streamline kick with arms held in a strong streamline position on both the front and back. They will also practise variations with one arm extended and one arm by the side, helping prepare them for the introduction of breathing techniques and arm actions in the next stage of the programme.
